Battle of the Bull Run. The battle resulted in a total of 847 deaths and a Confederacy victory. |
February 16th 1862
Battle of Fort Donelson and Fort Henry. These battles took place 10 miles away and resulted in 1353 deaths and the Unions first victory. |
March 8th 1862
Battle of Hampton Roads. This naval battle created a change in how warships were built. Although there was no declared winner, the battle became very famous. there was a total of 339 deaths. |
April 25th 1862
Capture Of New Orleans. This was very important for their union because New Orleans was the largest confederate city. The capture started on the 25th and was finalized on the 1st. |
